Other big motivators? Well of course JP for holding me accountable, and also Renee for being way more passionate than myself about the whole thing. And also making the exact same mistake at the exact time. I called her for discussion and turns out we both messed up the top white layer today on our first attempts. Beginners, huh??!
I took some pics of my model, dayo, my dog, and streamlined them so i could print out a shape to cut. Using cardstock is probably not the best idea. Definitely think stencil paper might be clear choice. But I did find that if i coated the cardstock with painters tape I got a bit cleaner look. My first attempt was sprayed on card board. IT did NOT go well, my stencil got all stuck in the paint, its pretty humid and i am pretty impatient. But I saw the demo and Pete sprayed right away.
There are my original photos:

On the second try i almost had it with this one, but the eye gave me some trouble and i made a big o' spray blob, no good. but the plexi worked well as a surface that didn't getting to be treated.

Here is the layered process, this time it was more or less successful. But still could be a lot cleaner, again the paper must be important.

On this step i found it kept the stencil down better if i lightly sprayed some super 77. This made the small slivers a little tackly so they would stay down.
