April Art Shows

I have work in two shows that are opening this month. Both on the same weekend. So come out and make it a jenn-weekend.

What is "STL Vicars & Tarts" you may wonder? Think of a fantastic show representing society’s struggle between freedom of expression, sin, and sexuality. Vicars & Tarts is a fantastic tradition in Europe, usually the UK. We want to bring this tradition to Saint Louis! A first of its kind in Saint Louis, this show will represent Artists and Musicians in a variety of mediums and music genre. Stay tuned for updates!!! Come visit us on the web: http://www.stlvicarsandtarts.com

Rusty Spring - an exhibit of art with a rough, edgy, outsider or non-traditional feel that relates to the mechanical and/or the seasonal or comes from a disheveled physical or mental place. The visual art in the exhibit will be juried from work submitted by St. Louis area artists. In addition, several artists from around the United States have been invited by the exhibit director, Justin Tolentino, to exhibit select works which he feels reflect the theme of the exhibit. The opening reception will feature musicians, performing artists, spoken word artists and culinary delights provided by Joanie’s Pizzeria, Everest CafĂ©, PBR & more! Special thanks to SOKA and T-Media!!

DATES: Exhibit opens April 18, 2008 (reception 7-11pm) and continues through May 31 during gallery hours, Wed-Sat, noon-4pm.

PLACE: ArtDimensions’ 3rd Floor Gallery, 1214 Washington Ave. (enter through Mossa Contemporary Furniture Store and go to the 3rd floor).

DONATIONS at the opening event will be greatly appreciated (and are tax deductible!).
